There you can savour the delights of the Renaissance period: il Duomo – the Cathedral with Brunelleschi’s distinctive dome; the Church of the Santa Croce; works by Donatello, Giotto, Michelangelo and Botticelli.

Separating the residence from the famous Ponte Vecchio is the Garden of Boboli, a famous park home to a distinguished collection of monuments and sculptures dating back to the sixteenth century. Also look out for some Roman antiquities which can be seen in the garden.
